The soundtrack of Vettai was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja It was Yuvan Shankar Raja who pioneered the single album launches in Tamil. UTV Motion Pictures and Lingusamy had planned to release a single of their Vettai album, which has music by Yuvan. The peppy number in Vettai “Papparappa..” was officially released at Radio Mirchi 98.3FM Station in Chennai on December 12, through UTV Music.
The number has potential to be a chartbuster. It was said on the release of Single Audio, a week after the launch of the single December 16, 2011, the full 5-songs album will hit the music stores. The Vettai team also had done a video of this party number which featured the films cast Madhavan, Arya, Sameera, Amala, music director Yuvan, lyricist Na. Muthukumar and director Lingusamy. It was uploaded on video sharing site You Tube a few hours after the single is launched at Radio Mirchi. The complete soundtrack album gets released on December 16 at Anna Centenary Library Auditorium Kotturpuram in a grand audio launch with a lot of Celebrities.
