  • Film fare Best Music Director Award (Tamil) for 7G Rainbow Colony (2004)
The Filmfare Best Music Director Award is given to film composers by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Tamil (Kollywood) films. Yuvan Shankar Raja happens to be the youngest winner, receiving the award at the age of 25.

  • Filmfare Special Jury Award for Oy! (2009)
The Film fare Special Jury Award is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for South Indian films.  It acknowledges a special and unique performance and encourages artistes, filmmakers and musicians to break new ground in drama, direction, music and acting. It is only given if someone has done something really different. However, it is also given occasionally to film personalities for their contribution to the film industry.

The Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director is given by the state government as part of its annual Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Tamil (Tamil Movie Industry) feature films.

  • Cyprus International Film Festival Award For Best Musical Score Feature Film for Raam (2006)
The Cyprus International Film Festival (or CIFF) is an annual film festival held in Cyprus. It is a non-profit organisation. The festival features premieres and screenings of many films, and contains competitive categories including Feature, Short, Documentary, Video art, Video Dance and animation. The festival presents its Golden Aphrodite, Silver Aphrodite and Special Awards selected by a jury, and also features seminars, workshops and conferences for upcoming directors.


  • Vijay Award for Favourite Song for "En Kadhal Solla" -  Paiyaa (2010)
The Vijay Award for Favourite Song is given by Star Vijay as part of its annual Vijay Awards Ceremony for Tamil Kollywood Films.  It is chosen through public voting.  The award for 2010 was given to Yuvan Shankar Raja for Favourite Song Category to "En Kadhal Solla Neram Illai" Song from the Movie "Paiyaa (2010)"
